Spanning two days, this celebratory collaboration marks six years since The Dead Rabbit’s last visit to London. The multi-award-winning, 19th-century-style watering hole are bringing Manhattan to the heart of London this October. The Dead Rabbit takes up residence at bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana’s cocktail bar Lyaness in Sea Containers on the South Bank - expect an edited choice of their signature cocktails and specialities from its hearty food menu - cheese and tomato toasties, sausage rolls, smash burgers etc. - and live music.
Originally the brainchild of Irishmen Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, The Dead Rabbit is named after a notorious Irish street gang that patrolled Lower Manhattan during the mid-19th century. The story of gun-totin’ gang leader John Morissey, is told through the bar’s graphic comic-style cocktail menu. A place of pilgrimage for cocktail lovers, The Dead Rabbit occupies a landmark three-storey building in Lower Manhattan, dating back to 1828.
